The Women’s Institute is a national organisation and charity with branches across the country. It plays a unique role in providing women with educational opportunities and the chance to build new skills, to take part in a wide variety of activities and to campaign on issues that matter to them and their communities.

Campaigns and Resolutions

The WI has a long history of campaigning on a wide range of issues that matter to women and their communities.  These include campaigning for more Midwives, increasing Donor registration, Climate Change, SOS for honey bees, Carers Welcome, avoiding food waste and addressing food poverty. Our campaigns are as diverse as our members.

The history of the WI in campaigns tells a story of millions of women, often ahead of their time, committed to working in partnership to change the world for the better.

WI Learning Hub
